According to Jiang Bingrong, Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Division of the National Development and Reform Commission, the proportion of lighting electricity in the country's total electricity consumption is getting higher and higher. In 2010, lighting electricity has accounted for 13 of China's total electricity consumption. Therefore, lighting electricity has become an important part of China's energy conservation and climate change in the future.
In recent years, new and new lighting technologies and new products have emerged at home and abroad, and the lighting efficiency has been increasing, which also provides technical and economic guarantee for lighting power saving. With the continuous development of technology, the traditional incandescent lamp market is being gradually replaced by new energy sources such as energy-saving lamps, especially LED lamps.
Under the support of China's phasing out of incandescent lamps and accelerating the promotion of energy-saving lamps, the National Energy Conservation Center has developed 10 best practices for high-efficiency lighting technology based on in-depth research and special argumentation. These cases include: the application of high-power LED stage lighting fixtures in Changan Theatre, the application of LED self-dimming lamps in public area lighting, and the application of high-efficiency energy-saving lamps in Tsinghua Tongfangzhiwang Building.

This is the best practice case presentation of efficient lighting and power saving technology. There are 5 cases involving LED lighting, accounting for half of the total number of cases. Other technologies, such as ceramic metal halide lamps and high-efficiency lighting fixtures, are also the most advanced lighting power-saving technologies, which are in line with the country's future lighting power-saving technology promotion direction. These cases have important reference significance for guiding users to adopt efficient lighting power-saving technology and promote the progress of lighting power-saving technology.
