Analysis on the Production and Sales of Passenger Cars in China in November

According to the data, in 2012, the production and sales of passenger vehicles (whole vehicle and chassis) were 46,909 and 46,621 respectively, and the production increased by 6.92% compared with the previous period, which was a year-on-year increase of 0.08%. The sales volume increased by 17.09% compared with the previous period and increased by 2.01% over the same period of last year. From January to November, the cumulative production and sales of passenger vehicles (whole vehicle and chassis) were 459,290 and 456,284 vehicles, respectively, and the cumulative production increased by 5.59% year-on-year, and the cumulative sales increased by 3.17% year-on-year; of which, the production and sales of finished vehicles were 386,034 and 381,373, respectively. Cumulative increase of 7.91% and 4.78%; bus chassis production and sales of 73,256 units and 74,911 units, cumulative production and sales fell 5.13% and 4.30%.

In November, the production and sales volume of large-sized passenger vehicles were 7431 and 7,060, respectively, and the production increased by 8.21% year-on-year, and the sales increased by 2.51% year-on-year. From January to November, the cumulative production and sales of 65,630 vehicles and 65,057 vehicles, a cumulative increase of 11.52% and 10.83%. The top three of the accumulated sales were held by Zhengzhou Yutong, Suzhou Golden Dragon and Xiamen Golden Dragon. Among them, Zhengzhou Yutong's total sales of vehicles totaled 20088, a cumulative increase of 13.37% year-on-year; Suzhou Golden Dragon accumulated sales of 8,970 vehicles, a cumulative increase of 1.75% year-on-year; Xiamen Golden Dragon sold a total of 7,625 vehicles, a cumulative decrease of 5.02% year-on-year. Xiamen Golden Brigade and Anhui Ankai were ranked fourth and fifth respectively, accumulatively selling 3,953 units and 3,819 units respectively.

In November, 6,727 vehicles and 6,871 vehicles were produced and sold in medium-sized passenger vehicles. The production decreased by 10.22% year-on-year, and sales decreased by 5.07% year-on-year. From January to November, the cumulative production of medium-sized passenger vehicles totaled 61,477 units, with cumulative sales of 60,946 units, a cumulative increase of 1.67% and 0.98% year-on-year respectively. From January to November, the top three total sales of vehicles were Zhengzhou Yutong, Suzhou Jinlong and Xiamen Jinlong. Yutong sold 20,582 vehicles in total, which accounted for the first place, with a cumulative growth of 5.54% year-on-year. Suzhou Golden Dragon ranked second, with a cumulative sales of 7,190 units, a cumulative decrease of 13.39% year-on-year, and Xiamen Golden Dragon accumulatively sold 5,929 units, a cumulative increase of 29.57% year-on-year. FAW Toyota and Anhui Ankai were ranked fourth and fifth respectively, accumulatively selling 4,269 vehicles and 4,263 vehicles respectively.

In November, the production and sales volume of light passenger vehicles was 25,617 and 25,313. The production increased by 7.89% year-on-year, and sales increased by 9.35% year-on-year. From January to November, the cumulative production and sales of light passenger vehicles were 258,927 units and 255,370 units, respectively, and the cumulative growth in production and sales was 8.60% and 4.27%, respectively. The top three of the cumulative sales are Gold Cup Shares, Jiangxi Jiangling and Nanjing Automobile Group. The accumulated sales of Jincai Group were 88,040 units, a year-on-year increase of 4.11%; the total sales volume of Jiangxi Jiangling Group was 49,037 units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.86%; and the group's total sales amounted to 36,459 units, a year-on-year decrease of 2.09%. Beiqi Foton and Xiamen Golden Brigade ranked fourth or fifth, with cumulative sales of 17,899 units and 14,093 units respectively.
