It is reported that due to the abundant supply of the global market, the expansion of domestic production capacity and the increase of downstream demand, the phenol supply in the Chinese market will steadily increase in 2012.
Industry agencies said that in 2012, the phenol supply in the Chinese market will reach approximately 1.75 million tons, an increase of 7.4% from 2011, of which imports will increase by 3% and domestic production will increase by 11% to approximately 1 million tons.
According to market sources, by the middle of 2012, China's domestic phenol production capacity will increase to 1.22 million tons per year.
