China's metrological instrument industry needs remedy

After many years of development, China's metrological instrument companies have formed an industrial system with a relatively complete range of categories and a certain technological base and production scale. At present, there are more than 6,000 domestic measuring instruments. China has become Asia's second largest producer of metering instruments. However, the status quo of the development of China's measuring instruments is generally a complete range, the company is small in size and low efficiency, product quality is low. The development of the domestic instrumentation industry lags behind, there are many problems, facing a severe situation. There are three major factors that restrict the development of the domestic metrological instrumentation industry:

The first is: the lack of technological innovation. The domestic level of metering and instrumentation industry slows down, and large-scale and high-end equipment and equipment are almost all dependent on imports. Many urgently needed special-purpose instruments are still blank, and there are still many difficulties in ensuring the quality of middle and low-end products. The delay in the development of technological innovation and its industrialization is a bottleneck restricting the development of China's metrological instrumentation industry.

The second is: product stability and reliability are not high. China's measurement products, including industrial automation instrumentation systems, communications equipment, etc., although the gap between the technical indicators and similar foreign products is not very large, but the stability and reliability are not high. This has greatly limited the scope and credibility of China's measurement products.

The third is: China's industrial base is poor and policy support is insufficient. The lack of understanding of the importance of the development of measurement products industry, inadequate support, and lack of procurement policies to support the development of national industries.

The competition in the market for measuring instruments has become increasingly fierce. Many foreign instrument manufacturers are very optimistic about the Chinese market and have established production plants or agents in China to develop the Chinese market. Therefore, China needs to develop a sound countermeasure to develop its own enterprise. It is necessary to carry out long-term planning, improve the constitution of research and development, explore suitable and practical management models for China's national conditions, and issue supportive policies that are conducive to the development of SMEs.
