Henan Electric Power is mainly based on thermal power. The sulfur dioxide produced by coal-fired power plants is an important killer of air pollution. After four years of hard work, Puyang Shaolin Chemical Machinery Factory successfully developed a new type of fuel-burning sulfur-fixing agent and successfully tested it at the Jiayu Power Plant in Puyang City. The sulfur-fixing agent is mainly made of magnesite and dolomite, which are abundant in Puyang. After adding coal, it can greatly increase the coal combustion rate and thus reduce the sulfur dioxide emissions. The product has passed the inspection of the environmental protection department of Henan Province, with the lowest desulfurization rate reaching 84.9%, ranking the leading level in the same industry in China.
