According to reports, this is the largest sodium sulfite production line in the country, and will be used to control the Group's smelter flue gas.
The group's original sodium sulfite scale is 20,000 tons/year sodium sulfite, which is already the largest in China. The large amount of sulfur dioxide fume produced by the Jinchuan Group in the production of non-ferrous metals such as nickel, copper and cobalt is mainly used for the production of sulfuric acid. However, some flue gases with a concentration of less than 4% could not be acidified. The company decided to continue the construction of the sodium sulfite production line so that the sulfur dioxide fumes could be fully utilized.
The construction of the redevelopment project began in March 2009. It is the first environmental protection project that Jinchuan Group has promised to use for three years to achieve comprehensive treatment of smelter flue gas, with a total investment of 128 million yuan. It uses 400,000 tons/year ion-exchange membrane caustic soda as raw material to recycle low-concentration sulfur dioxide fume from rotary kiln and electric furnace to form 100,000 tons/year anhydrous sodium sulfite and 50,000 tons/year sodium sulfite heptahydrate. Digestion of low-concentration flue gas, which is by-product, has a cost advantage. It provides a guarantee for the balance of sulfuric acid and chlor-alkali systems. It also extends the chemical industry chain such as hydrochloric acid and caustic soda. There are more paper mills within 500 kilometers around Jinchuan. They have a large demand for sodium sulfite and are convenient for transportation.
In order to achieve the optimum process, advanced technology, and efficient production, the project responsible party Jinchuan Group chemical plant combines the experience of many years of sodium sulfite production in the design process, breaking the traditional sodium sulfite production method, and will be a number of independent research and development, independent innovation process The combination of configuration technology and operation control technology.
The process performs two-stage scrubbing, dust reduction and cooling on the fumes entering the system, strictly controls nickel, copper, lead, arsenic and other heavy metal ions to ensure the product's primary product rate; fully utilizes existing energy sources, and takes the hot air produced by the sulfuric acid system as The heat exchange source of the sodium sulfite drying process reduces the steam consumption of the sodium sulfite product by about 2 tons, and saves costs up to RMB 130 per ton. It simplifies the process of alkali, alkali, and filtration, and the operation is completed in the material conveying process. The continuous production of the system has increased labor efficiency.
