CT Air Drilling Rig Becomes Sharp Tool to Overcome Shale Gas Exploration Problems

The 2D seismic exploration project of the Changning Shale Gas Reservoir in Sichuan is a major research project of the group company this year. The geological structure in the area is complex. The exposed Permian and Middle-Lower Triassic limestones account for more than 80% of the entire work area. The widely distributed and hard limestone has become the number one “landrer” in this exploration and acquisition construction. In the face of arduous tasks, Sichuan Qingjian Geophysical Exploration Company quickly gathered 80 CT Air drills known as the “Air Tiger” SDZ, FDZ, TSP, and TST-40 as a weapon for attacking. Compared to a QPY drilling rig that takes 3 days to fight a limestone well, the CT drilling rig uses a high-pressure air stream to drive the hammer to hit the rock formation, eliminating the need for water and drilling fast, which greatly improves construction efficiency.
As of September 2, the drilling team of 212 Geophysical Prospectors and 209 Teams who undertook the collection of the project had overcome the heavy rain and hot weather of many days. Both completed the project with 136,000 meters of footage, and the well depth quality was in line with the requirement of deep hole stimulation.
