·Beijing pure electric vehicle ownership reached 21,500

In the first ten months of this year, the improvement of air quality in Beijing is more obvious, especially the speed and scale of eliminating old and newer electric vehicles. Entering the autumn and winter transition in November, the heavy pollution-prone season, coupled with the upcoming increase in pollution emissions such as coal burning in the heating season, the atmospheric pollution control in the last two months is still grim.
According to the monitoring statistics of the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, the cumulative concentration of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in the air was 69.7 μg/m3 in the first ten months, down 21.8% year-on-year; the other three major pollutants were inhalable particulate matter (PM10) and sulfur dioxide. The cumulative concentrations of nitrogen dioxide and nitrogen dioxide were 92.7 μg/m3, 13.0 μg/m3, and 46.2 μg/m3, respectively, down 21.0%, 39.8%, and 17.1%, respectively. The number of days of air quality compliance increased by 31 days compared with the same period of last year; the number of days of heavy air pollution decreased by 16 days.
When talking about the obvious improvement in air conditions in the first ten months of this year, the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau said that the elimination of motor vehicles is a big one. In the first ten months, the number of old motor vehicles in the city has been eliminated by 280,000 units, achieving a cumulative total of over one million vehicles in three years.
With the recent policy guidance from the national and municipal governments on subsidies for new energy vehicles and unlimited lines, the pure electric special vehicles and bus subsidies have been spurred by financial investment, and the number of pure electric vehicles in Beijing has reached 21,500.
