Moscow Copper Smelter, Russia

The copper smelting and electrolysis plant in Moscow, Russia also used the flotation method to treat copper anode mud. The composition is shown in Table 1. The butyl black medicine 250g/t is used as the collector and foaming agent. The pulp concentration is 200g/L. See Table 2.

It can be seen from the results in Table 2 that the direct yield of Pd, Ag, and Se enriched in the concentrate is 94% to 99%, and Au is 100%. When other conditions are constant, the concentrate yield depends on the composition of the anode slime. 60% to 65% of copper enters the solution and is related to the amount of sulfuric acid. When the amount of sulfuric acid is 150g/L, a relatively high index of copper removal can be obtained.
