Ukrainian Minister of Agriculture Pressi Nikol announced on the 30th that the Ukrainian cabinet has extended the time limit for food export quotas until July 1, 2011, and increased the export quota of 2 million tons of corn.
According to reports, as of July 1, 2011, the Ukrainian corn export quota will reach 5 million tons.
In early October of 2010, Ukraine extended its grain export quota to March 31, 2011, and provided that as of March 31, it would export 4.2 million tons of grain, including 3 million tons of corn, 1 million tons of wheat and 200,000 tons of barley.
It is reported that Ukraine harvested 39.30 million tons of grains and beans in 2010, a decrease of 14.6% from 2009.
