·Modern i30 domestic recall turn to help hidden dangers

Recall batches/involving units: recalled some of the 2009 to 2010 i30 vehicles produced during the period from May 13, 2009 to April 30, 2010, totaling 142 vehicles.

Reasons for recall: Some vehicles in this recall range are too sensitive due to the electronic power steering (MDPS) sensor diagnostic logic. The electronic signal is unstable when the vehicle starts. In this state, the electronic signal cannot reach the normal standard, and the sensor is misdiagnosed as a fault. The power steering (MDPS) warning light is on, and problems such as heavy steering may occur, posing a safety hazard.

Solution: Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. will upgrade the ECU program free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate potential safety hazards. Beijing Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. will notify the relevant owner through the dealer.
