In recent years, as long as we mention pickup trucks, everyone's common feelings are the various unfair “treatments” experienced by domestic pickup trucks, especially restricted pickups, forced scrapping and so on. The Isuzu 4JK1
4JK1 engine is produced by Jiangxi Isuzu. It is a product that has been upgraded several times on the basis of the original Isuzu 4JA1. This engine has the characteristics of longer life and higher reliability.


The 4JK1 uses a VGS (Variable Geometry System) variable area turbocharger. By changing the cross-sectional area of ​​the exhaust gas entering the turbine inlet, the turbo lag phenomenon is reduced, the linear output of the power is guaranteed, and the engine life can also be extended. At the same time, it also uses cast aluminum alloy cylinder heads and aluminum alloy pistons. Cast iron cylinders adopt high-frequency quenching processing technology, so that the overall strength guaranteed can also reduce the weight.

In addition, Isuzu 4JK1 also uses electric high pressure common rail, DOHC overhead dual camshaft four valve gas distribution system, formal chain transmission mechanism, and water-cooled EGR exhaust gas recirculation system.

In terms of parameter performance, the 4JK1 engine also has a significant advantage in terms of vehicle power and maximum torque compared to other domestic 2.5L engines. This engine can provide 100kW at relatively low speeds and 320N·m of torque.

Nanchang Jiangling JX4D24 engine X4D24 diesel engine is derived from the Ford PUMA engine, although the engine displacement is only 2.4L, but the engine's performance parameters are very good. JX4D24 adopts dual overhead camshaft and 16-valve gas distribution mechanism. This structure has exceeded the SOHC8 valve structure commonly used in domestic commercial vehicle diesel engines. At the same time, the cylinder head of the JX4D24 is made of AISi10Mg (silicon-magnesium-aluminum-alloy) material and weighs only 13KG, while the connecting rod is made of forging technology, and its lightweight design ensures its strength at the same time.


This engine adopts technologies such as supercharged intercooling, four-valve, ERG valve, high-pressure common rail, and electronically controlled fuel injection, which can meet Euro IV standards. However, because the JX4D24 is an improvement on the Ford PUMA engine technology, the improved engine is only equipped with an ordinary turbocharger and does not use the original variable-section engine. However, the engine is still relying on high quality parts suppliers, so that this engine has a very high reputation in the industry.

In terms of engine parameter performance, the JX4D24 engine displacement is only 2.4L, but it can provide 92kW of power and 310N·m of torque. This kind of data has a great advantage compared to other domestic engines of the same type.
